What to know
- Works by blocking thiamine uptake in the parasite. Prolonged use can induce thiamine deficiency in the birds themselves.
- Coccidiosis is the classic explanation when FCR drifts upward but mortality looks normal.
- Often used as a treatment where an ionophore is already in the feed as a preventive.
