What we collect

Nothing, if you are only reading: The rates, calculators, guides and directory need no account and no details. The calculators run entirely in your browser — the numbers you type are never sent anywhere.
What you type into a form, only when you send it: The waitlist, farm registration and data access forms fill in a WhatsApp message. Nothing leaves the page until you press send yourself. This website stores none of it.
Farm register details: If you register a farm, we hold what you sent plus what our field team confirms on the visit. It is kept to run the register and to contact you — nothing else.

Where form submissions go

Every form on this site hands your details to WhatsApp as a pre-filled message. That means the message passes through WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta and governed by their privacy policy, exactly as any other WhatsApp message you send would be. We chose this because it is how this industry already communicates — but you should know it, and if you would rather not use WhatsApp, every form offers a copy instead option so you can send the details however you prefer.

The Open Flocks register

Your farm name, location and contact details are never published, never sold and never shared with buyers or suppliers. Only district-level totals are made public, and only once enough farms in that district have registered that no individual farm can be identified.

A district publishes supply figures only once enough farms are on it that no single farm can be picked out of the total. We do not export farm-level data to partners, advertisers, investors or anyone else. This is the commitment the whole register depends on, and we would rather lose a customer than break it.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies and has no advertising trackers. We intend to add privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that counts page visits without identifying anyone or following you across other sites. When that is live, this page will say so.

What we never do

Sell your phone number, or any personal detail, to anyone.
Publish a farm’s name, location or contact details.
Share farm-level data with buyers, suppliers or advertisers.
Let a sponsor influence a published rate, a verification, or anything in a guide.

Removing your details

Message us and we will remove you from the register or the waitlist. No reason needed, and no attempt to talk you out of it. Removing a farm takes its flocks out of every future district total.
